Katrine M. Erie was raised in Butler, Pennsylvania, graduating from Butler High School in 1981. She graduated from MercyhurstCollege (nowMercyhurstUniversity) in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1985 receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with a minor in languages. In 1988, she received her Juris Doctor (law degree) from the University of Santa Clara School of Law (formerly Santa Clara University) in Santa Clara, California. She was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 1988. After working for the local legal services, the District Attorney’s office and a small law firm, Ms. Erie opened her law office in 1992 and professionally incorporated in 1997 as ERIE LAW OFFICES, P.C.
Ms. Erie was admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Erie has represented clients throughout Western Pennsylvania in trials, various hearings and administrative proceedings in local, state and federal cases.
Ms. Erie has served her community as a member of several local charity organizations as well as the Pennsylvania Developmental Disability Planning Council.
